The MacPhail Center for Music is a state-of-the-art facility that provides music education and performance opportunities for students of all ages and abilities. The center is located in downtown Minneapolis, near the Mississippi River and the Guthrie Theater. The center aims to inspire and nurture musical talent, creativity, and expression. We were honored to be part of this project and provide the MEP design for the new building.

The 55,000-square-foot facility includes 56 teaching studios, nine classrooms, a grand hall, an informal performance hall, and an outdoor performance plaza.
Consistent temperature/humidity control and achieving low sound levels (NC 25) were key components in designing the mechanical systems for the building. Our team provided the design for sleek and modern, yet energy-efficient, lighting systems for this project.
