The Coloplast Cleanroom Renovation project transformed an existing maintenance shop into a new ISO 7 cleanroom, expanding manufacturing capabilities at the company’s North American Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The design supports stringent cleanroom requirements while aligning with Coloplast’s broader sustainability goals.
The cleanroom’s heating and cooling system is fully electric, featuring a water-source heat pump air handling unit connected to ground-source geothermal production wells. The process cooling water system incorporates water-cooled chillers that reject heat to the geothermal core loop, creating opportunities for heat recovery and improving overall energy efficiency.
