SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA
The Minnesota State Fair hosts more than two million visitors in less than two weeks. An addition to the fairgrounds was The North End Event Center, which is a stunning brand-new centerpiece of the redeveloped north end of the fairgrounds. This event center houses a 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art exhibit hall that will be the fair-time home to annually changing museum-quality exhibits that fair guests can enjoy.
Michaud Cooley Erickson (MCE) provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for this impressive $16 million building.
The North End Event Center’s shed-like roof and wooden features help connect the glass-heavy building to the fair’s older structures, while the new HVAC systems control humidity, air quality and temperature to keep the exhibit pieces and attendees comfortable.
