We provide engineering design services to MSP Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, telecommunications and building automation systems. Our involvement at Terminal 1 integrates the terminal’s complexity and variety of engineered systems challenge the MAC’s day-to-day operations.

The terminal boasts an 11,000-ton chiller plant and 240 million BTU per hour, 150-PSI steam plant. Delivering that central plant energy to more than 3 million square feet of conditioned space; this presents engineering challenges unique to facilities of this scale and magnitude.
Since 2000, MCE has been a Continuing Consultant at the MAC, working alongside architects and civil engineers on many MAC projects. Besides conventional design work, MCE serves the MAC in ways that are unique among consulting engineers. We provide operations and maintenance advice, on staff electricians for disruptions, and assistance in administering many of their on-going maintenance contracts. We consider ourselves as an extension of their team, ready to help with any challenge.
