Dept. of Human Services

The Elmer L. Andersen building, located in St. Paul MN, was constructed for the state of Minnesota to house the Department of Human Services. The 400,000 square foot eight-story office building and 468-car parking ramp were completed in late 2005. The building is one of the first buildings in Minnesota to utilize an underfloor air distribution system in office areas that allows individual control for each building occupant. Photosensor controls are used at the building perimeter to reduce the level of artificial lighting when natural daylight is available. Design of the building also included a tier 2 Data Center.
