Low-Voltage Systems
Audio/visual solutions are another facet of MCE’s special systems design capabilities for our clients. Our approach is to carefully link these systems with other building systems to form a cohesive network of interconnected elements. Ever conscious of the phenomenal rate of change in our society, we design special systems that are flexible enough to accept new technologies in future upgrades. A communications package for an educational facility, for example, typically includes: an intercom into the classroom; sound reinforcement; data and video projection; audiovisual; and phones. In this environment a teacher can stand at a lectern, insert a video, cd or dvd into a drive, and send images to an overhead projector, a television monitor or a computer screen. Phones can also provide control for all classroom communications. A teacher can call a school’s media resource center, ask the staff member to load a video or laser disk into a drive, and at a specific time punch in a code to start a program. |
